Outreach Ministries

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. James Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society provides emergency help to individuals and families, especially food from the parish pantry, and through the J.O.I.N. office of the Diocese helps with other emergencies. This work is accomplished by parish members with the material and financial aid of the parish and several neighboring parishes. Members are needed to help with the pantry and for other important work. If you are interested, leave your name and number at the parish office and you will be contacted.

The food pantry is one of the many services to the community that St. Vincent De Paul provides to those in need. The service is provided to those residing in the 43224 zip code and all parishioners. All receiving this assistance must go through Hands On Central Ohio or J.O.I.N (Joint Organizatin for Inner City Needs). Food is donated by many SJL parish members and surrounding parishes. Some food is purchased through the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

Food Pantry Hours are from 6 PM to 7 PM The food pantry is always looking for volunteers to help with this worthwhile cause. It is a very rewarding service opportunity. The hours volunteers are needed to distribute the food are Monday through Friday from 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Any amount of time you can offer is appreciated. If you have any questions or would like to contribute in any way, please contact St. Vincent De Paul at 614 447-1074.

C.PP.S Companions
Missionaries of the Precious Blood share their spirituality and Community life with lay associates called Companions. Companion groups have been formed throughout the United States, usually in areas where the Missionaries are in ministry and are well known. These Companions are committed to understanding the history, mission and spirituality of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. Companion groups meet monthly for times of prayer and reflection based on themes of Precious Blood spirituality: reconciliation through the Blood of Jesus, service to the poor and forsaken, and hospitality. Companions are also invited to C.PP.S. events, such as retreats, assemblies and celebrations.
